prob. of Mullinahone area, SE Co.Tipperary,
mar S. Lecoq [prob. Huguenot ancestry],
she has a grand-dau Sarah Kickham, wonder if named after her and she is Sarah Lecoq,
the name "Leacock" is found in Co.Kilkenny, might be same origin,
had issue:

1. Margaret Armstrong, born est c.1790,
   "Margaret" in most par records,
   listed as "Mary" in William's bapt 1816, but this is prob. just error,
   mar Edward Kickham [born est c.1790] and had issue.
   Kickham lived Mullinahone, SE Co.Tipperary.

  He might be Richard Armstrong who is listed in [Griffiths Valuation, c.1850] as leasing out to tenants 4 plots of land at Ballycullen, Kilvemnon par (S of Mullinahone, see map).

  mar pre-1793 to Ellinor Wiltshore(?) [thus written in deed of 1793, written as Eleanor on grave],
  he is listed as of Newland, Co.Tipperary (unidentified) in deed of 1793,
  there is a deed between him and his wife and William Harden Bradshaw, of Carrick-on-Suir, Co.Tipperary, dated 1 June 1793, sworn 22 Nov 1794, registered 14 Feb 1795, [LR] book 488, p.521, no.312091, which is a lease to Bradshaw of lands at Modeshil, Modeshil par, Co.Tipperary (just N of Mullinahone),
  Rev. Robert Armstrong of Newland, Co.Tipperary, witnessed [Deed, 1796], which was a lease of land and houses in Mullinahone to Charles Kickham,
  Charles Kickham's son may have ended up marrying a relation of his,
  he died 9 Oct 1819, age 57 yrs [grave, Kilvemnon],
  she died 27 Sept 18-- [grave, Kilvemnon], the reading in [Larkin, 2005] is died 1864, age 78 yrs, but that would make her too young, one of these (year or age) must be an error,
  had issue:
  1. James Armstrong, born 1798,
     of Ballyvoneen, Modeshil par, Co.Tipperary,
     died 1st Feb 1847, age 49 yrs [grave, Kilvemnon],
     had issue:
     1. Ellen Armstrong, erected her father's gravestone.

     There is a James Armstrong occupying 61 acres (with a house) at Ballyvoneen, Modeshil par, listed in [Griffiths Valuation, 1850], leasing from Robert Butler Bryan.

     There is a "Mrs. Armstrong" (prob. widow as at 1858) who contributed to committee set up at Kilvemnon 1858 to erect a wall around the graveyard (people who had burial plots in the cemetery were asked to subscribe) [Kilvemnon Vestry papers].

  death registered by Eliza Hogan, of Beakstown, Holycross par, Thurles union, N Co.Tipperary.

• William Armstrong, born 1814,
  listed on death cert as from Kilmaganny, Kilmaganny par, Co.Kilkenny (near Co.Tipperary border),
  listed at death as married, "Constabulary pensioner", (todo) search RIC records,
  died in the workhouse,
  died 10 Oct 1884, Callan workhouse, Callan, Co.Kilkenny (near Co.Tipperary border), age 70 yrs [GROI].
