Tarbert House, Tarbert, Co.Kerry, is to the N of Tarbert, on the road to Tarbert Island.

James Leslie, born 1678,
of Tarbert, Co.Kerry,
had issue:


  1. Sarah Leslie,
    mar 1728 to John Rowan and had issue.


  2. Rev. James Leslie, born 1707,
    of Tarbert House,
    Bishop of Limerick,
    died 1770, had issue:

    1. Sir Edward Leslie, 1st (and only) Baronet, born 1744,
      succeeded to Tarbert House 1770,
      cr Baronet 1787,
      his agent was Joseph Lindsay,
      died 1818, Weymouth, Dorset, age 74 yrs [The Gentleman's magazine, 1818, p.573],
      succeeded by his 1st cousin.


  3. Robert Leslie, born c.1712,
    of Leslie Lodge, near Tarbert,
    built Leslie Lodge 1740s,
    had issue:

    1. Robert Leslie,
      of Leslie Lodge,
      inherited Tarbert House 1818,
      "Robert Leslie junior" is listed as of Tarbert House in 1816 in [Vestry Minutes Book, Kilnaughtin],
      looks like moved in before Sir Edward died.
      Ancestor through female line of Pierce Leslie Pielou.

    2. Alice Leslie,
      mar 1770 to Thomas Wren and had issue.

This shows Tarbert House with the old dormer windows in the roof. It was made into a full 3 storey building by Sir Edward Leslie, 1st Baronet, around 1810.
