Elizabeth died 1601, bur St.Canice's, Kilkenny [according to records, no visible monument],
he died 1614 [think NOT 1615],

- Unlike Kilkenny Castle, Ormond Castle escaped "improvement" in the 19th century.
- Ormond Castle survives today much as built. It survives as a (commonplace in England, but almost unique in Ireland) unfortified Elizabethan manor house, one of the most beautiful buildings in Ireland. See street view.
