Sir William Fitzwilliam, Knt. (see here and here).
He bought the manor of Milton, Northamptonshire (now in Cambridgeshire) in 1502.
He also had country house at Gainspark (or Gaynes Park) in Chigwell, Essex.
Sheriff of London 1507-08.
He mar 1stly to Anne Hawes.
Sir William had issue by 1st wife:


  1. Sir William Fitzwilliam, Knt.,
    died 1576,
    had issue:

    1. Sir William Fitzwilliam.
      Lord Deputy of Ireland 1571-75 and 1588-94.
      Ancestor of the Earls Fitzwilliam.


  2. Anne Fitzwilliam,
    mar Sir Anthony Cooke and had issue.

  
Sir William mar 2ndly to Mildred Sackville [descendant of Edward I].
He died 9 August 1534, London.
He was bur Marholm, Northamptonshire.
Sir William had issue by 2nd wife:


  1. Mary Fitzwilliam,
    mar John Shelley and had issue.




Memorial to Mildred Cooke, dau of Sir Anthony Cooke by his wife Anne Fitzwilliam.
