Lloyd

Edward Lloyd (and here and here),
of Trefnant Hall, Trefnant (NOT Treffnant), SE of Castle Caereinion, 4 miles SW of Welshpool, Montgomeryshire, C Wales (see map),
and of (by marriage) Maesmor, Denbighshire, N Wales,
he apparently descends from Iestyn ab Gwrgant,
born Trefnant,

mar est c.1775 to Catherine Maurice of Maesmor [or Katherine, also here and here, born est c.1745-50, Maesmor Hall,
dau of Peter Maurice of Maesmor,
who is son of Peter Maurice by his wife Catherine Maesmor of Maesmor],
Catherine Maesmor is direct male-line descendant of Owain Brogyntyn ap Madoc, Lord of Edeirnion (see here), descendant of Edward the Elder and of Lady Godiva,
see Catherine Maurice's ANCESTRY,

Catherine Maurice was a young widow, no issue from her 1st mar,
she was co-heiress of Maesmor,
Kalendar of Gwyedd lists "Edward Lloyd Esq. of Maesmore, High Sheriff of Merionethshire 5 February 1781",
he is described as "Capt. Lloyd" at his dau Emma's death,
he died 7th Jan 1819, Shrewsbury,
she died Maesmor Hall,
had issue:

  1. Catherine Lloyd (and here and here),
born 1776 or 1777, Maesmor Hall, eldest daughter,
Catherine Maria Margaretta, or Catherine Mary Margaretta, think NOT Katherine,
listed as "Catherine" in [Census, 1841], and "Catherine M.M." in [Census, 1851],
[Census, 1841] took ages to nearest 5 or 10 years and indicates born 1786,
[Census, 1851] took exact ages and indicates born 1777, I take this as the accurate one,
mar 1stly, 1820, to Major John Lewis Parry and think had issue,
    he died 1822,
mar 2ndly, 1829, to John Manners Kerr, no issue.

  2. Emma Lloyd,
    born 1780, Maesmor Hall,
living at Maesmor Hall in October 1859,
listed as unmarried, living Maesmor Hall in [Census, 1861],
died 7th Mar 1864, Maesmor, age 84 yrs,
(todo) see The Cambrian newspaper, 18th Mar.

  3. Jane Lloyd,
    born 1783, Maesmor Hall,
[Census, 1841] indicates born 1786, [Census, 1851] indicates born 1780, [Census, 1861] indicates born 1783,
listed as unmarried, living Maesmor Hall in [Census, 1841] and [Census, 1851],
living at Maesmor Hall in October 1859,
listed as unmarried, living Maesmor Hall in [Census, 1861],
looks like she died pre-1871 census.

  4. Grace Lloyd,
    born 1785, Maesmor Hall,
[Census, 1841] indicates born 1791, [Census, 1851] and [Census, 1861] indicate born 1785, [Census, 1871] indicates born 1783,
listed as "Grace Lewis", living at Maesmor Hall in [Census, 1841],
listed as "Grace Lloyd", unmarried, living at Maesmor Hall in [Census, 1851],
living at Maesmor Hall in October 1859,
listed as "Grace Lloyd", unmarried, living at Maesmor Hall in [Census, 1861] and [Census, 1871],
[Census, 1871] lists her as "Landowner and Farmer 109 acres", living at Maesmor,
she is "Grace Lewis Loyd" who died 1872, age 87 yrs, leaving Trefnant Hall farm and other lands to her step-niece Jane Parry.

  5. (dau) Lloyd, born Maesmor Hall,
died as infant in Maesmor Hall.
