2nd Earl of Westmoreland

Ralph Neville, 2nd Earl of Westmoreland (see here), born 1406,
succeeded his grandfather 1425, mar 1426,
appears in Act 1, Scene 1 (set in 1460) of Henry VI, part 3 by Shakespeare,
died 1484, age 78 yrs, having had issue:

1. John Neville of Westmoreland, born est c.1427,
   died 1461, Battle of Towton (Yorkist victory).

• It was re-created 1624 in the Fane family, female line descendants of Neville, Earl of Westmoreland.

• Westmoreland St, Dublin, is after John Fane, 10th Earl of Westmoreland (also here), Lord Lieutenant of Ireland 1790-4.
• Sarah Bridge, at Islandbridge, Dublin, is after his wife Sarah.
