John Nolan, TD (see here and here),
born 5 Feb 1880.
His parents both dead by 1900.
He inherited family home, South Cappa, W of Foynes, W Co.Limerick. He was a farmer.
He is listed in 1901 census at South Cappa. He is unmarried, "farmer". He is living with sister and 2 servants. Parents dead.

He mar 6 Apr 1910 to Norah O'Connell [or Nora, born 1885, Co.Limerick].
They mar at Mount Mellary, Co.Waterford (where his brother was).
They are listed in 1911 census at South Cappa. His sister is living with them. He is "farmer". They have 1 servant.

He was active in IRA and Republican Loan and Sinn Fein courts during War of Independence.
On Wed 10 Mar 1920, at Rathkeale fair, John tipped off the local IRA about the presence of two RIC men out of uniform. That night they were attacked at the Hibernian Hotel, Rathkeale. One RIC man, George Neazor, was shot dead.

Cumann na nGaedheal TD, 1923-32:
John was Cumann na nGaedheal TD for Limerick from 1923 to June 1927.
He was defeated in the June 1927 election.
TD for Limerick again from Sept 1927 to 1932.
He is listed as "cousin" of Rev. Mortimer McCoy at his funeral 3 Oct 1927. Listed as John Nolan, TD, "Cappa".
He was defeated in the 1932 election.

He is listed as "uncle" of Mary Nolan (he was actually 1st cousin of her father) at her death 1935. He is living "South Cappa".
He is described as of South Cappa, Foynes, at death.
He died Sat 31 Jan 1948, age 67 yrs, Mater Private Nursing Home, 32 Eccles St, Dublin.
