John Kelly.
He mar 1881 to Mary Dowd.
He was a farmer, at Glanduff (or Glenduff), Carnagh West townland, St. Johns par, Co.Roscommon (N of Kiltoom, NW of Athlone, see map).

They had issue:

1. Michael Kelly,
   Michael Joseph Kelly,
   born 1 June 1901, Ballynure (a now vanished placename within Carnagh West), Co.Roscommon.

   He joined Gardai on 20 Oct 1922. Garda no.2000.
   See entry in Civic Guard (Garda Siochana) temporary register.
   Became a Sergeant.
   Listed as "Civic Guard, Sergeant" at mar 1925, living Glin, Co.Limerick.
   He mar 1stly, 1925, to Bridget Fitzgerald [born 28 Nov 1889].
   He is listed at wife's death 1930 as Sergeant, Crusheen, Co.Clare, "C.G." (Civic Guard).
   Bridget died 20 Nov 1930, age 40 yrs, at St. John's Hospital, Limerick.
   See death notice in Limerick Chronicle, 20 Nov 1930. Calls her "Breda".
   See obituary in The Kerryman, November 29, 1930. Calls her "O'Kelly".
   Can't find death in [GROI].
   She was bur Kilfergus, Glin.
   Michael had issue by 1st wife:
   1. Philomena Kelly,
      mar David Murphy.

   Michael was stationed in Bandon, Co.Cork.
   Listed as "Civic Guard", living Bandon, as at 2nd mar 1936.
   He mar 2ndly, 4 Aug 1936, to Mary Crowley [from Bandon].
   They mar at St.Joseph's, Limerick. See mar cert. It incorrectly says he is a bachelor. They were mar by Fr. Dermot Fitzgerald.
   He was stationed in Fermoy, Co.Cork.
   He is described as of Fermoy, Co.Cork, at Eugene O'Sullivan's funeral 1946.
   Lived 2 Briscoe Terrace, Fermoy.
   He died in hospital, Fermoy, Co.Cork, 19 May 1957, age 55 yrs. See death cert.
   He was bur Kilcrumper Old Cemetery, near Fermoy.
   Mary died 11 Dec 1987.
   Michael had issue by 2nd wife:

   1. 1 dau, Kelly.
   2. 4 sons, Kelly.

This was thought to be Garda Michael Kelly and his daughter. But the people do not match the photo above. Also looks like a generation earlier. I think this one is misidentified.
Could this be RIC man Eugene O'Sullivan?
