May Gertrude Wells, born 25th June 1874.
Her mother died 1878.
Her father obviously had trouble caring for 9 children. Some went to boarding school. May and her brother were put with a family.
In [UK census, 4 Apr 1881] she (age 6) and her brother Wilfrid (age 5) are listed as living at the home of a childless couple, William Burgess (Farm Labourer, age 30) and his wife Eliza (age 31), in Tannington Road, Dennington, Suffolk.
Her father and some of the children are in London in 1881 census. Others are in Ipswich.

At mar 1898 she is at family home, Tower House, Belvedere, E side of London.
She mar 1898 to Arthur F.V. Gibbon [descendant of Welles, Baron Welles] and had issue.
