William de Braose, 3rd Lord of Bramber.
He mar Bertha of Hereford [dau of Miles of Gloucester, 1st Earl of Hereford].
She was descendant of Lady Godiva.
William and Bertha had issue:


William de Braose, Lord of Bramber.
He mar Maud de St. Valery.
Maud incurred the wrath of King John who caused her to be starved to death in the dungeon of Corfe Castle in 1210 along with her adult son William.
William and Maud had issue:


  1. Margaret de Braose, mar Walter de Lacy, 2nd Lord of Meath and had issue.


  2. Reginald de Braose,
    mar 1stly to Grecia Briwere and had issue:


    1. William de Braose, Lord of Abergavenny (and here).
      He mar Eva Marshal [descendant of Charlemagne and of Aoife Mac Murrough].
      He rebuilt Abergavenny Castle, Abergavenny, Wales, pre-1175.
      He was much hated by the native Welsh.
      Through his wife he inherited Dunamase Castle, Co.Laois, Ireland.
      He was hanged 1230.
      Title extinct, later went to Beauchamp.
      William and Eva had issue:


      1. Maud de Braose, mar Roger Mortimer and had issue.


      2. Eva de Braose,
        mar William de Cantelou,
        she died 1255, bur St. Mary's Priory Church, Abergavenny,
        had issue:

        1. Milicent de Cantelupe, mar Eudo la Zouche and had issue.


      3. Eleanor de Braose, mar Humphrey de Bohun and had issue.
