John Leslie,
bapt 2 Apr 1654, Aberdeen.
He was son of
George Leslie, Provost of Aberdeen 1685-1687.
He was a magistrate.
Member of Aberdeen Council.
This John is said to be our John
Extract from
p.184 of
[Munro, 1897].
Lists the children of George Leslie, Provost of Aberdeen.
Says that his son John (bapt 1654) is "probably" the same as our John who married Barbara Ædie.
If so, he would then be
fathering children from age 43 to 69.
Not impossible, but this link perhaps needs more evidence.
As explained above, John Leslie (bapt 1654) above is probably our John Leslie,
though it would make him very old having a large family.

John is described as "late Baillie" at dau's bapt 1723.
