Sir John Throckmorton (see here),
mar Margaret Puttenham,
died 22nd May 1580,
elaborate tomb in Coughton church,
had issue:

1. Francis Throckmorton, born 1554,
   led a Catholic plot, the "Throckmorton Plot", against Elizabeth I in favour of the imprisoned Mary, Queen of Scots, 1583,
   executed 1584, age 30 yrs.
