Turing

John Turing, born 1650,
of Foveran, Aberdeenshire.
He is a descendant of Robert II, King of Scotland and of Henry I.
He was nephew of Sir John Turing, 1st Baronet.
He had issue:

  1. Rev. John Turing, born 1680.
He is retrospectively called Sir John Turing, 3rd Baronet, but probably not at the time.
See the complex history of the Baronetcy in [Complete Baronetage].
    He had issue:

    1. Rev. Alexander Turing, bapt 1702.
He is retrospectively called Sir Alexander Turing, 4th Baronet, but probably not at the time.
      He had issue:

      1. Janet Turing, bapt 1750.
She mar her 1st cousin Rev. Robert Duff and had issue.

    2. Ann Turing, bapt 1708.
      She mar Rev. William Duff.
He was the natural son of William Duff of Braco (died 1718).
His father was 1st cousin of William Duff, 1st Earl Fife (died 1763). See [Wyllie, 2020, p.28].
Ann and Rev. William had issue:

      1. Rev. Robert Duff.
He mar his 1st cousin Janet Turing [bapt 1750] and had issue:

        1. Ann Duff,
          or Anne, born 1787.
She mar 8 Nov 1813 to Rev. Charles Gibbon and had issue.
They mar at King Edward, Aberdeenshire.

  2. Rev. Walter Turing, born 1690.
[Wyllie, 2020, p.6] has him as born 1671. But [Burkes Peerage] has him as 3rd son and John as 1st son. Explains why he is not regarded as 3rd Baronet.
