educ Crescent College, where he started playing rugby.
He
joined Irish Army.
Attended military college at the Curragh.
Eventually rose to Captain.
Played rugby for Munster.
Played for Munster against All-Blacks in 1963.
He punched one of the All-Blacks in a dispute.
Played rugby for Ireland, for only one match.
He
played for Ireland against Wales in 1964.
He
mar Carmel O'Connor.
President of IFA:
He was involved for many years with the National Farmers Association (NFA),
which became the
Irish Farmers' Association (IFA).
He was involved in a NFA go slow campaign in paying rates in 1967, for which he was jailed for 5 weeks.

1974-1976.
President of Irish Farmers' Association
1976-1980.
He was a director of the Bank of Ireland, 1980-1984.
MEP for Munster:
Fianna Fail MEP
for Munster
1989 to 1994.
Carmel died 27 May 2011.
Paddy died 23 or 24 July 2012.
