Sir Philip Stapleton,
of Wighill, Yorkshire,
and of Warter (or Warter-on-the Wolds), East Riding of Yorkshire,
born 1603.
See wikipedia and wikitree and genealogics and British Civil Wars.

He mar 1stly, 1627, to Frances Hotham [born est c.1608, descendant of Edward III] and had issue.
He was knighted 1630. NOT a Baronet.
Frances died 1636.

He mar 2ndly, 1638, to Barbara Lennard and had issue.
He was a distinguished officer under the Parliament in English Civil War 1642-1651.
He died 18 Aug 1647, at the Three Silver Lions Inn, Calais, France, age 44 yrs.
He was bur 19 August 1647 in the Protestant Burying Ground, Calais.
Sir Philip had issue by 1st wife:

  1. Mary Stapleton.
[Complete Peerage] says she was dau by 1st wife. So must be born pre-1636.
[DNB, 1885-1900 edn] says she was dau by 1st wife.
Though this makes her quite old at birth of son (age c.41 or more). But still possible.
Wikipedia has her as younger (born c.1647) and dau of 2nd wife, though source is unclear.

See her ancestors by Leo van de Pas (assumes dau of 1st wife).
See her 12 descents from Edward III by Leo van de Pas.
She mar 1stly to --- Biggs [of Dublin].
She mar 2ndly to Thomas Fitzwilliam, 4th Viscount Fitzwilliam [born est c.1645] and had issue.
