The chief mechanic for the Thomond cars was Ben Parsons.
There were some assistant mechanics.

Worked on Thomond no.3

John McNamara,
born 1883, Dublin.
He mar Margaret Downes.
He was a coach painter.
See them listed in 1911 census.
Around 1930 he was running a coach painting firm in a paint shop at the back of Fennelly's undertakers, Dorset St, Dublin.
They had issue:

• John McNamara,
  Jacky, born in Aug 1909.
  Worked on painting Thomond no.3 in 1930.
  I met him in 1992.

• Tommy McNamara,
  Thomas Joseph, born in May 1912.
  Worked on painting Thomond no.3 in 1930.
  I met him in 1983.
  He died c.1989.

McNamara's coach painting firm was at the back.

Worked on Thomond (must be Thomond no.4)

• Timothy O'Brien.
  Boot maker.
  He mar 1910 to Mary Carberry.
  See them listed in 1911 census.
  He is listed at 116 Stanaway Road, Crumlin, in [Thom's, 1939, p.1577].
  They had issue:
  1. Mick O'Brien,
     Michael, born 7 March 1916. See birth cert from here.
     He was a junior mechanic on the later Thomond project at Jones' garage. Given his age, this must be Thomond no.4 in 1933.
     When Ben Parsons set up his own garage in 1938, Mick O'Brien joined him.
     He became foreman in Parsons' garage for 20 years.
     At marriage 1942 he is "mechanic", living at family home, 116 Stanaway Road, Crumlin.
     He mar 1942 to Margaret Foley. See mar cert from here.
     He left Parsons maybe around 1958 and set up his own garage at 8 Herbert Lane, Dublin.
     Lived 321 Mourne Rd, Drimnagh, Co.Dublin.
     Margaret died 26 Aug 1970. See death notice from Irish Independent, August 27, 1970.
     Mick died 19 Aug 1982, age 66 yrs. See death notice from Evening Press, August 20, 1982.
     They are bur Mount Jerome Cemetery.
