Our family starts as follows.
The reason we say this line is DNA proven is because of the DNA match with the family below.

 Alexander Wilson.
     
 "Wilsons" at mar, but most records are "Wilson".
 Of the parish of Alford,
Aberdeenshire.
 Alexander Wilson and his wife were said   to have been originally from Archballoch, 
SW side of Alford 
(see map).
 This is confirmed by George Wilson of Archballoch witnessing the baptism of Alexander's son   in 1768.
 Alexander married in 1767 at Alford.
 Lived at Wellheads, S side of Alford.
 Had children bapt 1768 to 1782.
  
 DNA related 
DNA shows that the following Wilson family is  closely related.
  
-  Peter Wilson,
   
 born 1726 or 1733.
 Lived at Milltown of Auchenhove, Lumphanan par, Aberdeenshire.
 His son was born at Alford in 1773 or 1776.
 His son later lived to the SW side of Alford.
 He and his son were buried at Alford.
 There is a DNA match between descendants of this family and descendants of our family above.
 Perhaps Alexander and Peter are brothers.
