Notes on "Geoffrey of the Great Herds". From p.779 of [Cusack, 1872].

Geoffrey O'Connell.

See wikitree.
Succeeded his father at Dunmaniheen, Killorglin, Co.Kerry.

Geoffrey dies, 1722:
MS 42,561 says he was age 38 at death. However [Cusack, 1872] gives "aged 68, probably 58 years".
He died in 1722, as the result of a fall from his horse on Drung Hill, Iveragh Peninsula.
He was bur in Cahirciveen Churchyard, with an inscription on his tomb saying he "had honour, wit, and virtue". See [Cusack, 1872] and MS 42,562.
This must be Abbey of the Holy Cross, Cahirciveen, where Morgan O'Connell is buried.
